For this project our assignment was to create a book with modern content that mimicked a style of book from the 1800s or earlier through typography and layout. For my content I choose blogs centered around 'the death of print media'. My first book was based on examples of 19th century ephemera because I felt that some of the blogs were sensationalist, which would be well communicated in variations of font faces and sizes. After the production of that book I felt a need for a more cohesive look and created a book based on a 17th century manuscript.
